I wanted to create a poster that was easily recognizable and memorable - something different from the average fireworks poster and something that would create immediate interest and a lasting impression.

The 2010 Sakura Citizen's Fireworks Festival was held in August, but by that time we had already been busy with the project for about 4 months. For the second year in a row, m2imageworks was given the opportunity to work directly with the Fireworks Festival Commitee and the Sakura Department of Tourism in developing the official posters, event branding, and the official website as well.

For the 2009 Festival, we created a similar poster, train advertisements, and website and this marketing along with other media outlets led to an attendance increase of 40% when compared to the 2008 festival and the website received up to 6000 visits per day prior to the event.

Unfortunately, due to the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake, the 2011 Festival was cancelled, so we are sincerely looking forward to what 2012 will bring.
